OLDM WOMEN IN SECURITY DONATE TO CHILDREN IN NEED

In a heart-warming act of generosity and community spirit, the Women in Security (WISE) team from Debswana Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM) recently donated winter clothing and shoes worth P5,000.00 to five children in Xere village.

Speaking at the handover ceremony on behalf of the team, OLDM Risk Officer Mositi Ramontsho said the donation was made possible through contributions from WISE members. “Thanks to the generosity of our team, we were able to raise funds and donate winter clothing to ensure that every child who received them will stay warm and comfortable throughout the winter season,” she said.

Ramontsho explained that the children were identified with the assistance of Boteti District Council- Social and Community development office, adding that the goal of the initiative was to help keep them warm. She also encouraged those who did not receive assistance this time to remain hopeful, as future opportunities will include them.

Giving the voting of thanks, Xere village Councilor, Honourable Gasenna Tebogo expressed his gratitude to all who contributed. “I am grateful for the gesture extended by Debswana employees to the less privileged,” he said. “I urge the parents of the recipients to take good care of the children’s clothes. These gifts are a blessing and should be valued.”
