Debswana’s Deputy Managing Director, Mr Koolatotse Koolatotse, delivered a keynote address at the commemoration of World Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Day. The MSME Day is an annual event organised by the Small Business Association of Botswana.
He commended the resilience and determination of small businesses, recognising them as vital drivers of the economy, especially during challenging times.
After touring the small business exhibition, Mr Koolatotse expressed admiration for the quality and innovation evident in locally produced goods. He urged entrepreneurs to build on their successes and harness the power of collaboration—drawing inspiration from traditional Setswana practices such as letsema to scale and sustain their enterprises.
Mr Koolatotse reaffirmed Debswana’s commitment to empowering citizen-owned businesses through its capacity-building and supplier development programmes.
