Mogakolodi Maoketsa, our General Manager at Orapa, Letlhakane, and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM), will be speaking at this year’s Mining Indaba. Below, he reflects on his upcoming participation at this premier mining event.
“I will be participating at this year’s Mining Indaba as a speaker in a panel discussion titled, “The communities we leave behind: mine closure”. I will be joined by other leaders as I delve into long-term benefits of mining for communities and the legacy that mining operations should leave for those affected. Additionally, I will highlight Debswana’s unwavering commitment to supporting our communities throughout and beyond mine closure, ensuring that our operations contribute positively to the areas we operate in.”
